Photography Workshops by Zach & Jody Gray of Gray Photography! | Nashville, Omaha & San Francisco

August 16th, 2010

Awesome job, Omaha Photogs!  Omaha received enough votes to bring Zach and Jody Gray to Omaha!  Cities like Boston, San Diego, Dallas, Chicago, etc, were all in the running, so the fact that Omaha represented like we did is HUGE! ;)  I’m so excited! Now, though, what we need to do is fill up their workshop!  Registration is open, so go check out the info and REGISTER! Here is some information about this fabulous workshop and the links you need to go and sign up!

Award winning Top Endorsed Westcott Pros and WPPI speakers Zach & Jody Gray have hosted their IN-CAMERA photography workshops around the country and their latest locations have been released!  This fall they are headed to Omaha, San Francisco and once again will be in Nashville.

To register visit the IN-CAMERA Workshop Website.

Overview of the Gray Photography IN-CAMERA Workshop Series from Zach & Jody

- Want to learn how Zach and Jody are able to achieve the look of all their images without the aid of PhotoShop?
- Want to learn how to edit an entire wedding in 2.5 hours solely using Adobe Lightroom?
- Want to learn how to create and control light with on-location studio strobes and get phenomenal images in any lighting situation?

The IN-CAMERA workshop series actually shows you how to shoot images that amaze right in the camera. These workshops feature class time, hands-on shooting with professional models, on location studio lighting, post-production and/or image critiques and much more. These workshops are fun, informative, and a great time to hang out with and meet other photographers who want what you want – great images without having to spend hours behind a computer screen editing.

Shootin’ up the town….

August 2nd, 2010

I have a lot of fun stuff to post! I will be posting a lot more about Photogshootout.com, and about the events that we’ve held recently. I can’t wait to share with you all how that started, and the things that I’m dreaming up for the future! For now, I’ll leave you with a sneak peek of some behind the scenes images from our last shootout ;)

My “Hood”…Feeling at home in North Downtown Omaha

July 8th, 2010
Recently I was asked by the North Downtown Omaha Alliance for some neighborhood photos for an awesome rooftop party (that I’ll have to post some photos from soon!)  I moved to North Downtown earlier this year and I’m in love with my neighborhood!  I live in the Tiptop building, and there is just so much going on in our little corner of downtown.  I shouldn’t say “little”, though, since one of the major attractions is/will be the new stadium that’s being built a block or so away from us!  The following is a quote that was displayed along with my photos.  It has definitely not taken me years to feel at home in North Downtown, and I feel blessed that I can relate to my neighborhood in this way!  Enjoy the quote, along with some of my favorite photos of my “hood”.

“It can take years to feel at home in a new area. At first it’s just a place with unfamiliar streets, restaurants you might like to try, and shops that look interesting from the outside. But over time you see yourself reflected in parts of the city, and begin to block out the rest. Certain patches of sidewalk almost feel like they should be worn down by your foot traffic. But these familiar spots aren’t always your favorites. Sometimes it’s the anomaly — new, foreign, exotic — that attracts, and sometimes it’s the rare treat. Consider your local treasures while viewing this collection of photographs.

Here’s a sneak peek of Faith. We went to one of my favorite new hideaways and had some fun. I have a lot more to share, but here’s a bit to get me started! Enjoy, and make sure to leave a comment and tell Faith how fierce she is ;)

Sneak Peek of Vegas Shootouts at WPPI

April 12th, 2010

So, I’ve been getting caught up after an insanely busy start to this year. I have so much to share, and I tend to try and wait until I have time to write the perfect post, and post just the right photos. Well, that seems to be the perfect way to never post to my new blog! So, here is a little sneak peek into my first trip to WPPI. The entire trip was life-changing, and it might take me a while to process it all to the point that I can share it with you. So stay tuned – this is going to be a BIG year!

Hi, new blog!

April 2nd, 2010

I’m so excited to have a new blog!  I will be moving my old posts over to this blog, but unless I can figure out a fast way to do it, it might take me a while ;)

So, since I’m impatient and don’t want to wait any more, I’m going to go ahead and post one of my shots from Victor Sizemore’s mentor session shoot in the desert near Vegas.  I’m still overwhelmed by information and photos, so I’ll definitely be sharing more soon!
