I have some catching up to do here! When I haven’t blogged in a long time, it’s always hard for me to decide where to start. I have so many ideas, events, and stories that I want to share here. I think it’s appropriate that I start out with some recent storm photos. Things have seemed somewhat stormy all around lately, but the good news is that sometimes you can see the sun shine even before the storm has completely passed. It’s been an interesting, and sometimes tough, year so far, and I’m excited for sunnier days to come. And just for fun: I’m so excited to share my NEW SITE with you! I’ve been working hard on it, and it has so many more fun features than my old site! I used a Sitehouse design from Promise Tangeman. You can read more about her awesome designs HERE. I use Showit to build my sites, and I must say that I absolutely LOVE Showit! You can even check it out for free and see how easy it is to build a fab site before you commit! I love this site so much more than the old one! I’ll post a few screen shots here to fill you in on a few of my favorite things about it. First of all, it’s just sexier.
Also, it’s much more interactive! You can let me know what you think right there on the site! We can connect on Facebook, and you can share a page with your awesome image without having to leave the site or copy pesky links or anything. Just click on “Leave a Comment”, and VOILA! Comment box appears. Magic, I tell you.
You can also find out quite a bit more about yours truly. I had a tiny little paragraph on my old site, but now you can take a peek into the eclectic mix of random awesome things that I love. When you’re on the site, mouse over the numbers for the fun part!
One of my favorite new things that I just added at the last minute is a Featured Client page. I will be adding features from time to time, but for now, you do NOT want to miss Cheryl LuQuire. I had the pleasure of meeting (and shooting!) Cheryl when she was visiting Omaha last year. She is a fabulous musician in Nashville, and just released her new EP last night! Make sure to check out the page HERE for all of the links to connect with her.
To see the rest, go to the site at http://christineelizabethphoto.com! I’d love to hear what you think, so be sure to say hi either here or on the site!
“When I go a long time between blogging, I start to feel like I need to post some ginormously important, momentous post to make up for lost time. Well, I have so many things to blog about, and I’ve decided to just dig in! So, no excuses, but here’s to more consistent blogging!
To start out with, I want to give you a sneak peek of something that will be going up VERY soon! I am SO incredibly excited about this opportunity! Lizzy is a model here in Omaha, and she is fabulous! She claims that she gets nervous, but you’d never know it by watching her. I have a blast working with her! Here are a few sneak peeks before I post a big surprise!

Awesome job, Omaha Photogs! Omaha received enough votes to bring Zach and Jody Gray to Omaha! Cities like Boston, San Diego, Dallas, Chicago, etc, were all in the running, so the fact that Omaha represented like we did is HUGE!
Award winning Top Endorsed Westcott Pros and WPPI speakers Zach & Jody Gray have hosted their IN-CAMERA photography workshops around the country and their latest locations have been released! This fall they are headed to Omaha, San Francisco and once again will be in Nashville.

I have a lot of fun stuff to post! I will be posting a lot more about Photogshootout.com, and about the events that we’ve held recently. I can’t wait to share with you all how that started, and the things that I’m dreaming up for the future! For now, I’ll leave you with a sneak peek of some behind the scenes images from our last shootout
“It can take years to feel at home in a new area. At first it’s just a place with unfamiliar streets, restaurants you might like to try, and shops that look interesting from the outside. But over time you see yourself reflected in parts of the city, and begin to block out the rest. Certain patches of sidewalk almost feel like they should be worn down by your foot traffic. But these familiar spots aren’t always your favorites. Sometimes it’s the anomaly — new, foreign, exotic — that attracts, and sometimes it’s the rare treat. Consider your local treasures while viewing this collection of photographs.-Laura Brunow Miner
